In 1941 Ben Hogan took the Head Professional job at Hershey Country Club and gave a newspaper golf lesson, a rare find. The instruction information is as relevant today as it was nearly 75 years ago and shows just how much Mr. Hogan understood the golf swing even before his famous “secret”. He discusses to common problem faced by many golfers, the over the top “loop” and then discusses the viable alternative. What I call the “Hogan Loop” was a subtle and creative move that you can learn during your next golf lesson in Augusta.
