How important is camera placement when filming your golf swing? Here we have two different swings of Jordan Spieth from 2015. On the left photo, the camera was aligned through his hands at address (yellow circle) while on the right the camera was aligned inbetween his feet and club head (yellow circle).
Although this may seem insignificant to the weekend golfer, notice how different the shaft plane looks at impact. His body positions look identical yet there is an obvious difference in relation to the plane. This is due to the slight misalignment of the camera on the right photo.
When filming your swing from DTL (down the line) be sure to get the camera aimed through your hands at address for the optimum view of your swing plane.
